Last Tuesday, the Pioneer Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) welcomed 24 new members.

To become members, students in grades 10-12 were selected as potential candidates based on the Society's requirement of a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5.

These students were then required to retrieve a transcript to prove their G.P.A., turn in a letter of recommendation, and have five surveys completed to prove their character- four of which were to be preformed by adults that knew the student, and the fifth being the student's own evaluation.

After this, a small committee then reviewed the information the student provided, and decided whether the student showed the qualities of a successful NHS member.
