Friday Art Show to Benefit Sex Assault Victims

Looking for something fun to do Friday, February 23rd?

West High's Leadership Advisory Council is hosting an art show and silent auction to support the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center at Vertigo 232 Gallery located at 232 N Market St, Wichita, Kansas from 5:30 PM to 8 PM.

The students and sponsor Jill Terhune have been working towards this art show for about three months and it would mean a lot for west high students to come out and show some support!

Some of the many opportunities this Friday listed below:

-     Former West High student Alie Adkins, Miss Metro KC, will be speaking on her experiences with & platform of Teen Dating Violence Awareness.

-   Benefits the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center.

-   Vice Mayor Bryan Frye will present a proclamation naming February as Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month 2018 for Wichita

-   Student art & local art from Josh Tripoli, Sean Christopher Ward with the Hue Gallery, Mark Walker, Mark Arts, and more.


-   Student & local performers including Thomas Forever, Mike Beno, Sir Charles, and 101 Lynch.

-    Other donations for silent auction from Tanganika, Wingnuts, Intrust Bank Arena, Wichita Symphony, Wichita Art Musuem, Wichita Sports Forum, Wichita Ice Center, Urban Air, WSU Ulrich Museum, Spangles, River City Brewery, Sedgwick County Zoo, Seneca Bowl, Pinot's Palette, Red Rock Photography, Miller's Cleaners, Bonefish, Get Air, Chick-Fil-A West, Lucinda's, All Star Sports, Bella Luz, Beardens, House of Schwan and so many more!


-    Food provided by Taco Shop, the Donut Whole, and the West High Culinary Arts Department.
